Why should I pay if WPTranslate can be free?

The plugin is free, and a limited free API tier is available. If you run a bigger company, a high-traffic website, need stronger limits, priority support, or require a custom feature, contact us for Developer or Enterprise access.

Can I safely migrate without hurting SEO?

Yes. WPTranslate is being built with safe SEO migrations in mind: preserving language URLs, existing translations, metadata, and import history as much as possible. The goal is to move from your current translation setup without creating unnecessary indexing or duplicate-content problems.

Can I migrate from another WordPress translation plugin?

Yes. WPML, TranslatePress, and custom imports are supported. Polylang support is planned.

Which translation API providers can I use?

You can use WPTranslate API, DeepL, Google Translate API, or another custom provider depending on your project. The plugin is designed to keep provider choice flexible instead of locking your WordPress site into only one service.

What is the Visual Translator Editor?

The Visual Translator Editor is a lightweight and fast frontend editing workflow that allows you to see and edit each language directly from the frontend. It is designed for practical review, quick fixes, and easier collaboration with translators or content editors.

What does the free API tier allow?

The free tier is intended for small projects and testing. It allows one production domain and one matching staging/subdomain, with fair-use limits.

Why can API approval be delayed?

We use AI to help verify that the request looks like a real person or real project, but human review is still needed before access is issued. Most requests are approved within about one hour.

Why is Macedonian not available yet?

The gateway can show experimental languages, but actual translation depends on which LibreTranslate models are available and loaded on the server.
